The Ravion® Magnetic Battery Mount uses stainless steel construction with protective pads on the contact surfaces to prevent scratching. However, as with any magnetic mount, we recommend placing a thin protective cloth between the mount and painted surfaces, especially for extended installation periods. The mount is designed to be repositioned regularly without leaving marks.
